Jacksonville-Based Sunshine Recycling Provides Waste Management During Construction of Affordable Apartment Complex

Recently, Sunshine signed a contract to supply waste management and recycling during the construction of a new affordable housing complex in downtown Jacksonville—the Lofts of LaVilla.
The five-story, 130-unit apartment community will be located at the intersection of West Bay and Lee Streets, across from the Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center. The complex will consist of studio, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, along with a resident lounge, a fitness center, an internet café, a hospitality area and a dog park. Construction of the Lofts of LaVilla is expected to be finished by late fall 2017.
Sunshine Recycling is working with the contractor for this project, TVC Development, Inc., a subsidiary of The Vestcor Companies, to manage the waste and debris that will be created during construction. Sunshine has placed several 30-yard roll-off dumpsters on-site for construction debris, which are being hauled weekly.
