BSMA Boarad Annouces INDUSTRY AWARDS for SCM EXCELLENCE in Biotech
Calabasas, CA (PRWEB) March 25, 2014 -- The Advisory Board of the Bio Supply Management Alliance (BSMA) has instituted the first “Annual Industry Awards for Excellence in Supply Chain Management in the Biotech Industry”. Over the last seven years, BSMA has been engaged in promoting collaboration among the manufacturers, suppliers, technology enablers, academia, trade associations and governmental agencies to significantly increase productivity, quality, safety, patient care and government compliance through excellence in supply chain management. The principles and practices of supply chain management continue to help transform the biotech industry from science of business.

The awards will be based on peer nominations with final selections being performed by the BSMA Awards Committee. Rules and regulations for submission of nominations will be published on May 1. Category of awards will be Biotech Manufacturer, Distributor, Supplier of Service, Provider of Technology, Academia and Industry Trade Association. Nominations will be solicited from June 2014 for awards to be delivered at the Annual Conference of BSMA on October 23 -24 at the Crowne Plaza in Foster City. Certain specific areas for excellence in SCM consideration are supply chain collaboration, clinical supply, strategic sourcing, information technology, automation technology, SCM talent development, risk management, temperature-controlled distribution and cold chain, distribution, emerging markets, patient care and governmental compliance.
