Author Susanne Kacsandi sends a message of hope to anyone who has been victimized by abuse or sex slavery in her fast-paced thriller, “Prepare to Die: Rescued” (published by WestBow Press).

It has been two years since courageous federal agents rescued Rachel by busting the human trafficking ring imprisoning her. The selective amnesia due to trauma is subsiding, allowing her to learn her true identity. As the supernatural and the physical worlds collide, evil is exposed, death cannot triumph over good and Rachel finds healing and hope.

In this novel based on true facts of human trafficking, interwoven with light comedy to ease the pain, Kacsandi incorporates details about spiritual warfare.

“There is hope for anyone through faith,” Kacsandi says. “Spiritual warfare is an important and often ignored aspect of life. It is to be waged by every Christian, and we have authority through Jesus Christ. Salvation is a free gift available wherever we are.”

An excerpt from “Prepare to Die”:

“Rachel continued staring at the deserted lot, mesmerized by the way she identified with the lonely, half-dead leaves. She choked as she said, ‘I should just die and purge the world of another piece of filthy dust.’ She took a deep breath, steadying herself as she stood beside the curtained window, weighing her passionate outburst. ‘Yet I fear. I fear life, but death more so.’
A purgatory of guilt, a limbo of hell.”
