Swan Pools, the creators of custom swimming pool construction projects since 1954, won the prestigious Bronze Award in the ‘Pool Renovations’ category during The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals’ 2013 International Awards of Excellence ceremony, held Nov. 12 at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino's LIGHT Nightclub in Las Vegas.
The California based family of swimming pool companies received the Bronze Award for its installation in Lake Forest, CA. This was an entire backyard remodel including repairing a water feature pergola that was falling apart, landscaping and entertainment areas. The existing swimming pool and spa were detached and rectangular in shape while the yard was large and free flowing in nature. The backyard elements were disjointed and cluttered together giving you a claustrophobic feeling. The end result was a much warmer feeling environment that opened up to the visitor and homeowner blending BBQ, Fireplace, and Lounge Entertainment areas that flowed naturally with the pool, spa, and property boundaries.
This year, 88 awards were presented in 40 categories, five of which spotlighted international installations. In total, there were a total of 114 entries from six countries. Swan Pools was awarded Bronze for its swimming pool renovation project and design. The Association's International Awards of Excellence in Design recognize the most beautiful and technologically advanced installations of pools, hot tubs, ponds and water features throughout the world. Judges based their consideration on the application of trends in construction and cutting-edge technology, as well as quality of workmanship and creativity.
