"Our decades of experience with System Innovators’ products and team, along with iNovah’s proven success among our peers, motivated the City to choose iNovah to accomplish our revenue management goals."
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (PRWEB) July 18, 2019
System Innovators (SI), a division of N. Harris Computer Corporation, is pleased to partner with the City of Baltimore, Maryland to modernize payments and revenue management through the iNovah Enterprise Revenue Management hub. Home to nearly 700,000 citizens, the City of Baltimore is the 29th largest City in the U.S. They join 21 of the 50 largest cities in the nation that utilize iNovah as their one source for the truth in revenue management.
The Department of Finance, Bureau of Revenue Collections processes nearly 400,000 transactions annually at their in-person cashiering stations, and handles large volumes of payments online and through mail. The Bureau of Revenue Collections currently serves customers through 10 cashiering walk-up stations, accepting over 100 unique payment types, including: Metered Water, Tax, License Fees, Permits, and Parking Fines. The iNovah Enterprise Revenue Management solution will integrate all revenue collection and management through one centralized hub, enabling the City to manage their large payment volumes with accuracy and ease.
As a client since 1999, the City of Baltimore’s partnership with System Innovators began through SI’s legacy Cashier for Windows solution. This system proved highly reliable for the organization, having largely met or exceeded the City’s operational goals. However, the City recognized that the hardware and software had exceeded its recommended useful life, which prompted them to seek an innovative new solution. The City sought to create better efficiencies in their revenue management processes, as well as take advantage of newer technologies and more modern security features.
Through the use of iNovah, the City of Baltimore will streamline their payment collection processes and improve their overall revenue control. With integrations to their Tax, Utilities, Parking, and Financials systems, they will gain the ability to access payment balances and post updated payment details in real-time. The City's Lockbox payments will now be imported into iNovah, reducing manual effort and the time required to update systems of record.
The City will benefit from improved reconciliation processes and the use of a scanned check interface, which will allow checks to be electronically deposited to the bank. iNovah will also provide City of Baltimore customers with an improved customer experience, including the ability to pay with secure chip-card payments.
“Our decades of experience with System Innovators’ products and team, along with iNovah’s proven success among our peers, motivated the City to choose iNovah to accomplish our revenue management goals. We look forward to gaining a new centralized system to manage all of our revenue and source systems,” stated Janice Simmons, Chief of the Bureau of Revenue Collections for the City of Baltimore.
The City of Baltimore joins a number of neighboring governments currently benefitting from the use of System Innovators’ iNovah solution, including the District of Columbia, Arlington and Fairfax Counties (VA), and the cities of Boston, Virginia Beach and Newport News.
“System Innovators is excited to bring our latest solutions and best practices to the partnership with the City of Baltimore’s Department of Finance: Bureau of Revenue Collections,” stated Greg Whitnell, Vice President, System Innovators. “The ability to accept and manage payments within one system will enable the City to streamline revenue management procedures and provide greater payment choice to citizens. We look forward to continuing to expand our long-standing relationship with the City, providing the tools they need to become more efficient and better serve their customers.”
