Tallal Alie Turfe Calls for Peace Between Judaism, Christianity, Islam
Northville, Mich. (PRWEB) January 17, 2014 -- Tallal Alie Turfe, author of “Patience in Islam,” “Unity in Islam” and “Energy in Islam,” releases his fourth book “Children of Abraham: United We Prevail, Divided We Fail” (published by iUniverse).
“While the perception is that Judaism, Christianity and Islam are each significantly different, they are in fact deeply connected,” Turfe says. “Although the manner by which followers of each religion worship and submit to God is practiced differently, they recognize a supreme power and authority and have a desire to reach paradise.”
“Children of Abraham” is a call for tolerance and understanding between religions. Turfe focuses on the story of God revealing himself to the Prophet Abraham shared by all three faiths, which he refers to as the cornerstone. Using Scripture passages as well as historical references, Turfe bridges gaps between the three faiths and reveals the origins of some traditions from each one that are deeply connected with others.
Turfe connects the dots for readers of all faiths and urges them to focus on the similarities of the religions, not the differences. He condemns religious extremism, and through his books and his work with the United Nations, hopes to bring peace and understanding between the three faiths.
“Religious extremism and fanaticism breed on misinformation and misrepresentation of beliefs and practices thereby leading to vicious and unacceptable threats and attacks on innocent victims,” Turfe warns.
Readers are already responding positively to “Children of Abraham.” Imam Abdul Latif Berry, from the Islamic Institute of Knowledge, says, “Professor Tallal Turfe has eloquently written and thoroughly portrayed the commonalities between the Abrahamic religions. 'Children of Abraham' will inspire followers of these faiths toward the common cause of peace, tolerance, ethics, and mutual respect….”
