File & ServeXpress Names e-Filing Industry Veteran VP of Government and Legal Services
Irving, Texas (PRWEB) September 23, 2014 -- File & ServeXpress, the pioneer and national leader of electronic filing and service for the legal and judicial communities, has named Tammy Carter, an innovator in the field of e-Filing, as Vice President of Government and Legal Services. Carter is responsible for supporting the vast network of nationwide clients using File & ServeXpress and educating courts through the implementation of e-Filing.
In 2002, Carter founded CaseFileXpress, one of the two original companies in the country to offer electronic filing and document management services to the legal industry. Carter was instrumental in launching the first statewide e-Filing system in the state of Texas. CaseFileXpress was acquired in 2012 and merged with the other pioneer of e-Filing, File & Serve, a former LexisNexis company, to become File & ServeXpress.
“Tammy had the vision to launch one of the first U.S. e-Filing companies, building it upon the foundation of front-line client support, education, and innovative solutions,” said Mel Yarbrough, CEO of File & ServeXpress. “She continues that same level of commitment at File & ServeXpress, and through her expertise, provides an understanding and knowledge of document exchange and its impact to court and legal clients that is unprecedented in the industry.”
Under Carter’s leadership, CaseFileXpress was the first approved Electronic Filing Service Provider for both Texas State Courts and the Washington D.C. Superior Courts. Carter helped grow CaseFileXpress to become one of the country’s leading e-Filing providers, representing the largest law firms across the country.
Carter is a frequent writer and presenter on the topics of legal e-Filing, court implementation and law firm automation, and has personally trained thousands of attorneys, paralegals and court personnel in the use and benefits of e-Filing. She is a graduate of the California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) with a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems.
