Tapella & Eberspacher LLC Hires New Estate Planning and Business Litigation Attorney Jacob N. Smallhorn February 9th
St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) February 19, 2015 -- Tapella & Eberspacher LLC is excited to announce that they have recently hired a new attorney, Jacob N. Smallhorn. The law firm focuses heavily on personal injury law but has seen an increase in the need for estate planning and business litigation, which Smallhorn will cover. He joined the law firm on February 9, 2015.
Smallhorn’s responsibilities as an estate planning and business litigation attorney include opening and managing estate and guardianships, representing clients, powers of attorney, trusts, wills, and helping local corporations with a variety of different legal matters.
Smallhorn earned a B.A. in Political Science and History, and his JurisDoctor from the University of Illinois where he was a Dean’s list student and a member of Phi Beta Kappa as an undergraduate.
Smallhorn received various accolades while in law school, in and out of an academic setting. He received the CALI Award in advanced legal research. Additionally, he was recognized with the Pro Bono Notation for volunteering 300 hours of legal public service work while he was attending law school.
Smallhorn also worked as an intern and a legal clerk while completing his studies. After he received his degree, he worked at a law firm in Northern Illinois and served as legal counsel for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources in Springfield, IL.
He and his wife Laura are now returning to their hometown area with their two children.
Smallhorn has been well-received at the law firm and is expected to help the firm handle the existing need for estate planning and business litigation, as well as help the firm grow in both of those areas of practice.
