TapInfluence Expands Operations to Silicon Valley and Hires Eli Gild as CTO
Boulder, Colo. (PRWEB) March 10, 2016 -- TapInfluence, the leader in influencer marketing, is expanding its presence with a new office located in Mountain View, Calif., the heart of Silicon Valley. The office will provide a second hub for the company’s engineering resources, and enable TapInfluence to recruit and share engineering talent between Silicon Valley and its Boulder, Colo. headquarters. Eli Gild, a seasoned technologist and data scientist, joins TapInfluence as chief technology officer (CTO) and will head the new office.
“Our new space is literally down the street from Google in the tech epicenter of the country, and like Google and other tech juggernauts, we’ve realized the synergies between Silicon Valley and Boulder, such as a remarkable breadth of talent and intellectual capital,” said TapInfluence CEO Promise Phelon. “Our vision is to build an engineering team that moves freely between locations, exchanging big ideas and collaborating on advancements to our influencer marketing technology platform.”
TapInfluence will officially open the doors to its Mountain View office in early April. It expects to hire seven to 10 engineers over the next quarter to build out the team, which will focus on product development and roadmap milestones.
A pioneer in influencer marketing, TapInfluence helps brands reach targeted consumers with influencer-created content that is engaging, authentic and motivates them to action. Brands can realize increased market share and revenue growth through TapInfluence’s data-driven expertise and technology, which tie conversations to commerce.
Gild Joins as CTO
TapInfluence is also deepening its technological expertise and leadership by naming Gild its CTO. Gild will be responsible for developing and executing TapInfluence’s technical strategy and leading its technology team. He will partner with the company’s chief product officer and vice president of engineering to drive the continuing innovation of TapInfluence’s software platform to service brands and agencies.
“Our vision for the future of influencer marketing and our platform rests in our ability to harness the near petabytes of influencer, audience and performance analytics data that exists,” said Phelon. “Eli has the right background and depth of experience to bring new levels of intelligence and scale to our platform. Although Eli is a data scientist at heart, he’s also a proven strategist and manager with extraordinary foresight and operational expertise.”
Gild joins TapInfluence from HDS Global where he also served as CTO and was instrumental in building the core software architecture, plans and partnership ecosystem. Prior to that, he held a CTO position with talent management startup UpMo, and was president and CTO of KickNation, a social gaming company that was acquired by EA. Gild was also previously the CTO of Rondavu, and spent several years in a senior business operations role with LexisNexis. He holds several patents, and received his bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering from MIT, and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
