Libman “Mop Crew” to Maintain On-Court Role at Smith Center Through 2022-23 Season

Carolina Athletics and The Libman Company have extended their sponsorship agreement through the 2022-23 athletics season. Libman will continue as the “Official Hardwood Floorcare Provider of Carolina Athletics” continuing a partnership that began in 2018. In addition, the leading brand of cleaning tools will continue to receive heightened recognition during the basketball season as the Libman “Mop Crew” cleans the Smith Center court during games.

“We’re proud to continue our relationship with the University of North Carolina and to continue supporting Athletics and the hundreds of hard-working student-athletes in Chapel Hill,” said The Libman Company President Andrew Libman. “We take immense pride in the high quality of our products, and we’re honored to share an affinity with the Tar Heels and their incredibly passionate fan base.”

Tar Heel Sports Properties (THSP), the locally based Learfield IMG College team and UNC Athletics’ multimedia rightsholder, secured the extended relationship with The Libman Company. THSP oversees Libman’s comprehensive partnership benefits that also include in-venue television-visible signage and branding on the digital press backdrops during football and men’s basketball seasons. For maximum digital engagement with UNC fans, Libman’s “Own the Hardwood” digital/mobile game has averaged more than 175,000 game plays per season over the past two years.
