Taiwan Tourism Bureau Los Angeles Office will be attending the Los Angeles Times Annual Culinary Festival - The Taste - on Sunday September 1st. Authentic flavors and specialty food will be shared with event goers for them to experience Taiwan’s versatile culinary culture. With the launch of this year’s Taipei Michelin Guide and Bib Gourmand Taipei list, all efforts are aligned to boost Taiwan as Asia’s most desirable food paradise.
The Bureau has always combined food, engaging and fun elements into its booth activities. This year, Taiwan specialty restaurant Boiling Point will be serving mini hot pot tasting offering two flavors: The Taste limited edition SaCha broth, and curry broth. It will sure to entice the appetite of those who are not familiar with Taiwanese cuisine.
After tasting the mini hot pot, one could enjoy delicate Taiwanese tea freshly brewed by Tea Station. There will be mango green tea, Osmanthus Oolong Tea and Jasmine milk green tea paired with regular size boba and mini size boba for an experience of Taiwan’s world renowned tea culture.
To build awareness of Taiwan’s charming small towns, the Bureau designed a giant six feet vending machine game wrapped in Hakka style floral decoration and color. The colorful balls represent various Taiwan food specialties; event goers will learn about Taiwan’s local flavors through the interactive game. Best of all, there will be plenty of Taiwanese snacks and restaurant coupons plus travel discount codes to be shared with all the booth visitors.
