The Academy of Responsible Tattooing Announces Open House for Students
Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) August 26, 2014 -- The Academy of Responsible Tattooing is hosting a body piercing open house event on Friday, August 29 in order to prepare the new students for their future in the industry.
"The open house will cover information about the academy, who we are, and what we do," said Nick Carroll, instructor in Body Piercing at Body Art & Soul. "We will go over the curriculum of the body piercing apprenticeship and talk about how the program is unique, in that it's a traditional apprenticeship without the hazing."
The open house is coordinated by Carroll and other staff members belonging to the three-and-a-half year old academy. The event kicks off at 283 Graham Ave in Brooklyn, New York and goes from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
An estimated 45 million Americans have at least one tattoo, 36% of whom are between the ages of 18 and 25. The percentage of those who boast at least one body piercing is even higher as more people continue to dismiss the stigma against body piercings and tattoos. An estimated 32% of Americans with a tattoo say they are addicted to ink, while 29% claim that having tattoos and unique body piercings made them feel rebellious.
Whatever the reason for tattoos and body piercings, The Academy of Responsible Tattooing seeks to properly educate students about how to design and administer different types of body art. The school offers a way for interested students to get involved in the industry as well.
"Body piercing is a difficult industry to get into," said Christina Seeber, Manager of The Academy of Responsible Tattooing's marketing and social media team. "This open house allows students the opportunity to get their foot in the door."
Located in Brooklyn, Jersey City, and Philadelphia, The Academy of Responsible Tattooing, a tattoo school, allows aspiring tattoo artists to advance their career through a multitude of training. For more information, please visit http://tattooschool-art.com
