One of 40 Top Executives in the Washington DC Area

TCG’s Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Robert “Butch” Buccigrossi, is a winner of Washington SmartCEO’s 2014 Executive Management Award in the CIO/CTO category.

The Washington SmartCEO Executive Management Awards honor outstanding C-suite executives in four categories—CFO, CIO/CTO, COO and CXO (other C-suite executives)—for ethics, collaborative and creative leadership, and support of their organizations’ missions. An independent committee of local business leaders reviewed the nominations, and chose the winners. This year’s winners will be featured in the March/April issue of SmartCEO magazine and celebrated at an awards ceremony on March 13, 2014 at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner.

“Butch has been an integral member of our team since we were founded in 1994, and in that time he has been invaluable in leading our company to success,” said TCG president Dan Turner. “He has come up with ways to use technology to help us save costs—both internally and for our customers—and help us to streamline procedures and processes, tremendously contributing to TCG’s overarching mission, which is to Save Time. Without Butch, TCG would not be where it is today.”

Jaime Nespor, regional president of SmartCEO media, the magazine’s parent company, said the purpose of the award is to acknowledge the role of companies’ senior leaders. “All too often, senior leaders in an organization are unsung heroes,” Nespor said. “This is why SmartCEO designed the Executive Management Awards. The 2014 Executive Management Award winners are not only leading their companies and co-workers to achieve great things, but they are also making huge contributions to their communities. We are honored to recognize each of these individuals and celebrate their accomplishments.”
