New Social Media and Online Marketing Conference for Turks and Caicos
Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands (PRWEB) May 30, 2014 -- Island Life and Times Magazine is hosting the first annual Turks and Caicos Social Business Summit (#TCISBS) with the goal of improving the use of social media and online marketing in the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI).
With the rapid growth of online media and mobile use by tourists and locals alike, the need to interact and communicate with potential and exiting customers 'online' is now a critical business function.
The Turks and Caicos Social Business Summit brings handpicked experts with knowledge relevant to travel, tourism, and online marketing right to the doorstep of business owners and marketing managers in Turks and Caicos.
The one-day conference to be held on July 14th, 2014 at the Regent Palms Resort & Spa will cover research on online and mobile trends, how to help clients educate themselves online, establishing a framework for developing online materials and visual content, as well as why online paid advertising still has a role alongside social platforms like Facebook.
Organizer Mr. Andrew Mann, publisher of Island Life and Times, said, "It's our hope is that the speakers and the discussions experienced at the Summit will both inspire and educate participants and help them either start or re-energize their online and social marketing plans."
The six speakers for the July 2014 conference include:

Tim Hayden, Principal Strategist at TTH Strategy. He has worked with companies such as American Airlines, Dell, Bacardi, AMD, ExxonMobil and Hilton Worldwide.

Tom Webster is Vice President, Strategy and Marketing of Edison Research with nearly 20 years of experience in media research, marketing strategy, and product development.
Mr. Mann added, "Combining these experts in social and online marketing along with travel professionals, public servants, and local business owners, Turks and Caicos has the opportunity to become a model for social media use, sustainable tourism marketing, and 'how to box above your weight' in the travel industry. Even though Turks and Caicos is experiencing growth in its tourism, now is not the time to relax, now is the time to take advantage of this opportunity."
The cost of the conference is $250 per person and includes coffee, snacks, and lunch. The conference will run from 9-5 p.m. Reduced hotel packages for attendees from outside the Turks and Caicos are available upon request.
