DALLAS, Oct. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- TDn2K™ has announced that Steve King, immediate past CEO and current chairman of Dave & Buster's Restaurants, has been named the recipient of the 2019 Workplace Legacy Award. This prestigious honor will be presented at the Global Best Practices Conference to be held in January 2019 in Dallas, Texas.

King served as chief executive officer of Dave & Buster's Inc. from 2006 to 2017 when he moved to chairman of the eatertainment brand based in Dallas, Texas. He also served as senior vice president and chief financial officer. Prior to Dave & Buster's he spent his time working for Carlson Restaurants Worldwide, the parent company of TGI Friday's where he acted as both domestic and international president. He also served on Carlson's Shared Services Board and Chief Financial Officer Leadership Council and led the launch of Carlson's project management office. King holds an MBA degree from Cornell University and earned his Bachelor's degree at Cornell's acclaimed School of Hotel and Restaurant Administration.
The Workplace Legacy Award was presented for the first time in 2005.
