SimpleK12 (powered by InfoSource, Inc.) announces a free online event on May 10, 2014 for teachers on how to engage students with web tools.
SimpleK12 hosts live webinar events throughout the calendar year. This event topic, focusing on technology integration and specifically on no-cost tools for educational use, is being brought back due to popular demand. "Very applicable to classroom teachers with limited time to search for great resources!" says past SimpleK12 webinar viewer Mike Cargill.
The event features six subject matter experts covering the most popular and effective web tools for classroom or school use. Tools for saving time, improving literacy, and supporting creativity will be discussed, along with information on the best tools to encourage classroom collaboration.
The no-cost event consists of seven back-to-back online webinars. While the event is specifically tailored for K-12 educators, registration is open to the general public.
Event registration is available online: http://community.simplek12.com/tlc/webtools/.
"We classroom teachers have so much on our plates that it is impossible for us to research all of the technology available out there. [SimpleK12 is] making our lives easier and helping us to incorporate innovation into our classes." says Helen Horner, Middle School Teacher and attendee of past SimpleK12 webinar events. This unique event allows educators all over the world to benefit from the expertise of others who have already successfully integrated technology into their classrooms.
Dedicated to helping teachers succeed in their classrooms, SimpleK12 provides self-monitoring online professional development. Members of SimpleK12's Teacher Learning Community have access to over 1,000 hours of self-paced online courses, hundreds of live and recorded training sessions, and the opportunity to share resources and collaborate with thousands of educators around the world.
