EIPC Annual Event at Lane End Conference Centre
Lane End, Buckinghamshire (PRWEB) July 25, 2013 -- European Independent Purchasing Company (EIPC) Ltd – a non-profit-making organisation owned by SUBWAY franchisees in Europe – held its annual summer event at Lane End Conference Centre for the second consecutive year.
Delegates were briefed on all the new plans for EIPC, which has delivered more than £111 million in benefit to SUBWAY franchisees across Europe over the last 12 years.
The event was also a great opportunity for everyone from EIPC’s different offices to meet face-to-face.
After a morning business session, delegates enjoyed a networking lunch with a wide variety of dishes that catered to all tastes and dietary requirements.
Lane End’s Head Chef Mike Day also created a selection of freshly handmade ice creams for the day.
The afternoon team building session featured a samba drumming band, an interactive activity that involved EIPC staff playing instruments and working together to produce a unique piece of music designed to leave everyone feeling energised.
EIPC’s spokesperson Samantha Collins said: “We chose the drumming activity because it not only promised to be a fun activity but we have a number of employees for whom English is not their first language and music needs no translation.
“It was the perfect activity for building team morale and it gave everyone a real sense of achievement,” she added.
EIPC’s evening session was a fun fair-themed barbeque dinner that included a variety of stalls, a fortune teller and a lady that could make just about anything out of balloons!
Ms Collins said: “This was the second year we have held the event at Lane End and we are more than happy to continue holding our events with them.
“The venue simply ticks all the boxes in terms of location and facilities. The staff are always so friendly and flexible, we really do feel at home.
“One of the greatest advantages of using Lane End is the exclusive use areas – it really does give us a sense of privacy, allowing our delegates the freedom to walk around without encroaching on others.”
Lane End’s Sales and Marketing Manager Heni Fourie said: “We were delighted to welcome back the EIPC team and look forward to seeing them again soon.”
He added: “There are many benefits in choosing a purpose-built residential conference centre such as Lane End.
“With five completely self-contained buildings, delegates can have exclusive use of an entire conference or training venue – guaranteeing them complete privacy for optimum productivity.
“We are a specialist conference venue so we can tailor events specifically to our clients’ specific needs, ensuring that they get the very best out of their time at the centre.”
Lane End prides itself on the quality of its conference facilities and its VenueVerdict Gold Standard levels of customer service. It has been nominated for a number of national awards over the last 12 months.
The centre is currently undergoing refurbishments to further enhance its facilities. They include a new dining room at Wycombe Lodge, one of the five main conference buildings at the centre.
Bedrooms at Lane End are also being refurbished and upgraded. All the work is being carried out in phases to minimise any potential disruption to delegates.
