Telarus Creates Engineering and Base Management Departments, Adds Three New VPs to Leadership Team
Sandy, UT (PRWEB) September 09, 2014 -- Telarus, Inc., distributor of commercial data, voice, and data center services, announced today that it has hired and named Trish Kapos as its Senior Vice President of Marketing. The company also announced today the formation of two new departments: Engineering, led by Tyler Smith, and Base Management, led by Richard Stoker.
"We are excited to land three quality leaders to spearhead our new initiatives," commented David Bashford, president of Telarus. "All three come to Telarus with a track record of excellence, competence, and integrity. We are thrilled to welcome them to our senior leadership team."
Trish Kapos, SVP of Marketing, will be in charge of the creative marketing, supplier management, and recruiting departments. Kapos, a 12-year veteran of AT&T Wireless, will be tasked with elevating the Telarus brand, streamlining interactions with suppliers, attracting new partners to Telarus, and building a team that will on-board and train new partners in preparation for hand-off to the Business Development team.
Tyler Smith, VP of Engineering, will hire and train more sales engineers who are available to help Telarus partners close complicated deals that involve solutions that are beyond the current technical scope of many partners. Smith, a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), is a seasoned veteran of the industry, working seven years with CenturyLink and with Mountain States Engineering. The sales engineering program is currently available to all Telarus partners as of September 10, 2014.
Richard Stoker, VP of Base Management, is heading up the company’s customer retention group at Telarus which will be performing customer account management for partners who choose to opt into the program, which is expected to launch later this year. Stoker, who comes to Telarus from MarketStar where he served for 15 years as Sales Director, will be hiring account managers and inside sales professionals to maintain and grow revenue from existing customers.
"To say we are excited to have these three all-stars in the Telarus family is an understatement," added Adam Edwards, CEO of Telarus. "We see each of their respective departments as keys to our growth strategy, which is to offer deeper levels of support and further distance ourselves from our peers in the industry. For us, it's all about helping partners find and close larger deals, and then to keep those customers happy for years that extend well beyond the initial contract term. That's where the real money, and margin, is made, and we fully intend to help our partners take full advantage using these new assets."
