Tender Greens Continues Commitment to Source Global Animal Partnership Certified Chickens
Tender Greens only sources chickens through a multi-step controlled-atmosphere processing system that's widely hailed as more humane
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Tender Greens, a fine-casual restaurant concept with 29 locations across California, New York, and Massachusetts, announced today that it will continue its commitment to source their chicken from either RSPCA or Global Animal Partnership (GAP)-approved breeds and strains.
Already known for thoughtfully sourcing quality ingredients, Tender Greens will continue to only use chickens that have been processed in a manner that avoids live-dumping and live-shackling, and instead utilizes a pre-shackle, multi-step controlled-atmosphere processing system that's widely hailed as more humane.
"Since Tender Greens' inception, responsibly sourcing our ingredients has remained at the core of every decision we make. We are thrilled to continue our mission to provide meals at a reasonable price-point without sacrificing quality," said Denyelle Bruno, CEO of Tender Greens.
Tender Greens has quickly emerged as an innovative leader and pioneer among fine-casual restaurants since Erik Oberholtzer, David Dressler, and Matt Lyman opened the first location in 2006 on an up-and-coming street in Culver City. The company built an enthusiastic cult following by serving inspired food, friendly service, and great value in a comfortable space. Popular menu items include plates served with grilled humanely-raised meats, creamy Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and greens, an array of seasonally driven salads, and chef-driven specials using the best of seasonal ingredients.
