TeraGanix Opens New Arizona-Based Agricultural Products Supply Facility
Casa Grande, Arizona (PRWEB) July 23, 2014 -- TeraGanix has recently announced the opening of its second production facility in Casa Grande, Arizona, located only 4.5 miles off of highway I-8. The new production center for agricultural products will increase the convenience and accessibility for businesses in the Arizona region that use its popular Ag1000™ for farming and growing crops.
Its Casa Grande location is only 1 hour away from Tucson, 2 hours from Yuma, and less than one hour from Phoenix. With over 26 million acres of agricultural land in the Arizona region spanning from I-10 to I-8, the new center will be able to increase the speed and ease of fertilizer deliverability for hundreds of potential customers. The market of crops in Arizona includes lettuce, carrots, alfalfa, cotton, pumpkins, dates, pistachios, pecans, silage, spinach, and many more.
With its recent stamp of approval from the FDA for farmers to use TeraGanix’s product as a livestock feed additive, the company is now poised to supply the large dairy and poultry producers within the area. There are over 200,000 dairy cattle within 20 miles of the new location, in addition to a large poultry producer with well over 6 million birds less than one hour away. Other livestock common in the state of Arizona that could be serviced by TeraGanix’s feed additive include sheep, goat, and some hog producers.
“We have found a great location that is easily accessible by trucks and rail, allowing us to locally serve the Arizona market and fulfill local demand. We believe the facility will provide us with a wonderful opportunity for an even greater number of farmers on the west coast to use our EM® Effective Microorganisms® products to improve their soil and grow stronger, healthier crops and livestock,” stated Eric Lancaster, Executive VP of TeraGanix, Inc.
By being able to supply the demand in that region locally, TeraGanix has reduced the impact of drought and brought local revenue and employment into that area. The local distribution will furthermore lower the cost of shipping for its west coast consumers, saving farmers money on their overall irrigation and fertilizer costs.
