The Cabin Chiang Mai Alcohol and Drug Rehab to Participate in APSAD Conference this 24th- 27th November
(PRWEB) November 11, 2013 -- Psychologist Cameron Brown of The Cabin Chiang Mai rehab centre will join leading international and Australian addiction professionals at the Australasian Professional Society on Alcohol and other Drugs (APSAD) Conference – Australia’s largest addiction treatment event held between 24 -27 November 2013. The conference titled Bridging Knowledge and Practice, will raise awareness about the problems related to the use of alcohol and drugs, as well as promote improved standards in clinical practice and research about treatment and allied subjects.
Cameron Brown, the Australian Aftercare Provider and Evidence-based Researcher for The Cabin Chiang Mai, Asia’s top residential addiction treatment centre located in Northern Thailand, will speak on The Cabin’s highly effective treatment model, which has has delivered more than 600 clients into successful recovery since 2009.

Cameron is an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society. He has worked in residential rehabilitation on the Gold Coast, providing one-on-one counselling and facilitating group sessions for people struggling with addiction, especially those with a dual diagnosis. His experience involves social skills training, group therapy and case management.
