Moore Insurance Initiates Charity Campaign in Collaboration with Hudson Folkerts Memorial Foundation
The Woodlands, TX (PRWEB) March 14, 2016 -- Moore Insurance, a full service firm serving families of north Houston from offices in The Woodlands, TX, continues their commitment to act as Agents of Change in their community by announcing their latest charity collaboration. Partnering with Hudson Folkerts Memorial Foundation to assist local agricultural and animal husbandry students with scholarships and other assistance, the agency hopes to raise awareness and funds for this worthy local nonprofit. Donations are now being accepted here.
Hudson Folkerts Memorial Foundation (HFMF) was established in 2011 in honor of Hudson Folkerts, who was killed in a tragic ATV accident at the age of 15. Hudson had a true passion for raising animals and working on his ranch, and was very active in Tomball ISD’s Future Farmers of America program. HFMF was created to assist students who don’t have the financial resources to buy, feed and shelter an animal. They also award college scholarships to Tomball ISD high school graduates who wish to major in agriculture, with consideration given to applicants’ level of community service. To date, HFMF has awarded 92 animal scholarships and $159,000 in college scholarships.
“We’re thrilled to team up with HFMF to help local kids achieve their dreams,” said Jared Moore, owner of Moore Insurance. “After all, these are the people who will one day be feeding our country, and so often their interest is limited by family finances. We’re happy to pitch in and help, and hope many others in the community will, as well.”
The caring team at Moore Insurance has pledged to contribute $10 to HFMF for each person recommended to them for an insurance quotation, with no purchase necessary, making it so easy for everyone to help. Meanwhile, they are busy mobilizing social media and an email awareness campaign to promote the initiative. Additionally, a full page of the agency’s monthly magazine, which is delivered to thousands of households in The Woodlands and the greater north Houston area, has been dedicated to featuring the cause. The electronic version of Our Hometown magazine may be viewed here: http://mooreinsuranceteam.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_39.
Moore Insurance will continue to support local causes, selecting a new group, family or individual to receive their support every two months.
