Celebrated Arizona hotel expands executive team and positions themselves as a destination of choice for the outdoor adventurist.

The Arabella Sedona announced the addition of Jim Monahan as the hotel’s new director of adventure and events. Monahan is a skilled business leader, philanthropist and adventure enthusiast. He has extensive experience in mountain biking, trail development and is a former National Forest Service Liaison and board member of the Verde Valley Cyclists Coalition.

Prior to joining the Arabella team, Monahan was the owner of the celebrated Sedona Bike & Bean, as well as partner in Sedona’s first true adventure hotel. In addition, he has spent countless hours working with the National Forest Service to help establish one of the most popular trail systems in the world.

“I am thrilled to be a part of The Arabella Sedona family,” stated Monahan. “It has always been my passion to bring culture and fun into life. Whether hosting Thanksgiving dinner every year at Bike & Bean for locals and out-of-town guests, or just giving away a pizza at the shop’s famous Friday Night Group Rides, FUN was always the goal.”

The Arabella Sedona has recently been rebranded to be the premier Eco-travel destination in the region by bringing unique touches to the hotel through musical, relaxation and artistic events, as well as providing the perfect backdrop for adventure retreats, family gatherings, and local getaways. In addition, with the recent completion of the highly anticipated Bike Pavilion and works of art throughout the property, there is no better way to experience Sedona.

“Jim Monahan brings an excitement and sense of renewal to The Arabella Sedona,” stated Julia Kaiser property general manager. “He provides our guests with new diversions to enjoy the beauty around them, while at the same time offering his expertise of the region to our team.”
