GAINESVILLE, Fla. (PRWEB) August 14, 2018 -- The Cardiac & Vascular Institute (TCAVI) is pleased to announce Interventional Cardiologists Christopher Estel, M.D. and Roja Pondicherry-Harish, M.D. have joined our practice as of August 1, 2018.

Christopher Estel and Roja Pondicherry-Harish to The Cardiac and Vascular Institute,” says Interventional Cardiologist Christopher Caputo, DO, Medical Director at The Cardiac & Vascular Institute. “Both physicians provide a great blend of top- notch clinical education and knowledge from the University of Florida and Indiana University, with a strong passion for providing community-based care. Our physicians are dedicated to our patients’ care and we know they will be a great addition to our practice and to our patients."
Dr. Christopher Estel graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Science in Biology from West Virginia University. He completed medical school and his residency at West Virginia University going on to complete his Fellowship and Interventional Fellowship here in Gainesville at the University of Florida. In addition to his numerous publications and academic honors, Dr. Estel is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, Alpha Omega Alpha and the Gold Humanism Honor Societies. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Roja Pondicherry graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia having gone on to receive his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. His Residency brought him here to “The Gator Nation” with his Fellowship taking him to Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Pondicherry holds board certifications in Cardiovascular Diseases, Echocardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, and Internal Medicine. His clinical interests include coronary artery disease, valvular and structural heart disease, and peripheral artery disease.
