The Groomsman Suit is putting down roots in Philadelphia this summer with the opening of their second showroom in Philly’s historic Old City neighborhood in August.
Co-founders, Diana Ganz and Jeanne Foley, and Hitched Wedding Bands co-founders, Chris and Stephanie Sammons, will offer guests a unique space where couples can find the perfect wedding band and attire all at once.
“In addition to being a great wedding market, Philly is also home to Hitched, the leading men’s wedding band home try-on service,” said Diana Ganz, co-founder of The Groomsman Suit. “Being able to open our second showroom and partner with another wedding brand is really the perfect situation, and because Philly has consistently been one of the top cities we’ve shipped suiting and tuxedos, it was a natural fit.”
The showroom will take up most of an entire block in the historic neighborhood, with a beautiful ground floor space. The location will include a private lounge for wedding parties that is also available for wedding day prep. Bachelor parties are also encouraged to kick off the bachelor party celebration with a suit fitting.
“We are excited for the uniquely designed space where we can welcome both couples and wedding parties alike,” said Jeanne Foley, co-founder of The Groomsman Suit. “Couples can enjoy a glass of bubbly or beer while they find a wedding band or a sharp suit all in one space.”
While walk-ins are welcome, the new location will be meeting with individuals, couples and wedding parties by appointment only.
The Groomsman Suit offers high-quality suits and tuxedos for less than the cost of the average tuxedo rental. For less than $200, men can purchase a suit or tuxedo they can keep. The idea for the company came to Foley after her own wedding, where her siblings had to pay for low-quality tuxedo rentals that had to be returned the next morning. In addition to menswear, Foley and Ganz have launched a children’s line and are gearing up for the launch of their women’s line.
About The Groomsman Suit
The idea for TGS was born from Jeanne Foley's personal experience planning her wedding. With no other options available to affordably outfit their groomsmen, she and her husband were forced to go the usual rental route only to be disappointed by the logistics, poor fit, and price. Using her fashion industry experience, Jeanne set out to create a new solution for black tie attire: a sharp-looking tuxedo that could be purchased for less than the cost of a traditional rental. Diana Ganz, her longtime childhood friend, joined her efforts after receiving her MBA from MIT Sloan and together they launched The Groomsman Suit in February 2016. Since then, the company has had the honor of being a part of countless weddings helping thousands of men look sharp.
