PHOENIX, Nov. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The HeroZona Foundation,Arizona Department of Veterans' Services and the Arizona Corporate Council on Veterans Careers are pleased to announce the Bridge Forum U.S. Veteran Edition on Wednesday, November 14, at the Phoenix Convention Center. The forum will include an exclusive panel of law enforcement and community leaders that will cover topics important to the veteran community. The Bridge Forum will take place from 8 to 11 a.m., with the HeroPeneur National Veteran Business Summit Press Conference immediately following.

The Bridge Forum panel will discuss ways to better support veterans with recruitment, hiring, opportunities in service, veterans in crisis and support systems. The master of ceremonies for the event will be President and CEO of the HeroZona Foundation and U.S. Air Force Veteran, Ronnie R. Williams. It will be moderated by the Director of the Arizona Department of Veterans' Services, U. A. Air Force Col. (R) Wanda A. Wright. The National Legislative Director at American Legion and U.S. Army Veteran, Matthew J. Shuman will be a special guest.
Panelists for the forum include Crisis and Veteran Services Director at Mercy Care and U.S. Army Veteran, Tenasha Hildebrand; Employment Roadmap Coordinator for Arizona Coalition for Military Families and U.S. Veteran, Abe McCann; Police Detective Coordinator for the Crisis Intervention Team for the City of Phoenix, Sabrina Taylor; City of Phoenix Veterans Court Prosecutor, Patricia George; Arizona Coalition for Military Families and U.S. Army National Guard Veteran, Kelly Anne Wilde; and Chief of Police Winslow and U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, Dan Brown.
Following the Bridge Forum, the HeroZona Foundation will host a HeroPreneur National Veteran Business Summit Press Conference to discuss all of the activities taking place throughout the three day summit. Speakers at the press conference will include Col. (R) Wright; Powell; Co-Chairman of Arizona Corporate Council on Veteran Careers U.S. Navy Rear Adm. (R), Hal Pittman; and City of Phoenix Mayor, Thelda Williams.
The HeroZona Foundation's HeroPreneur National Veteran Business Summit is a three-day engagement returning to Phoenix from Nov. 14 through 16, to empower veterans through entrepreneurship, employment and education. It is spearheaded by the HeroZona Foundation and Arizona Department of Veterans' Services, in conjunction with the State of Arizona, City of Phoenix and Arizona Corporate Council on Veteran Careers.
Various veteran-focused events precede the Summit, including the Phoenix Veterans Day Parade, Phoenix Sun's NBA Military Appreciation Night basketball game and other entertainment activities. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will also attend HeroPreneur and host workshops for large companies, small veteran owned businesses and veterans interested in government contracting certification.
On Friday, Nov. 16, the U.S. Department of Labor will host the HIRE Vets Medallion Luncheon to recognize companies that employ veterans.
