The white paper entitled The New Science of Distributed Workforce Productivity Growth covers the research that analyzed five performance improvement tools to identify which ones contributed most to workforce productivity growth. The research was based on the use cases of global companies with 500+ workers, where participants were divided into distinctive cohorts to test five tools and their combinations to develop the most effective performance improvement solution.

The most effective productivity solution includes a combination of learning, business application, timing, and social engagement. This performance improvement strategy increased distributed workforce productivity by 38% within the first three months of implementation.

The implementation of learning alone increased workforce productivity by 8% while learning combined with social engagement led to only a 6% increase in productivity. This fact has led to the conclusion that the social element can be distracting for learners if paired with learning alone.

The white paper illustrates ways the productivity growth solution – a Performance Enablement Platform – proved to work with a number of companies with large distributed workforces, leading to a steady increase in productivity.
