Winners were announced at a gala hosted by AMA DFW on May 2, 2019.
EGENCY VP of Marketing Stephanie Chavez was delighted to receive the award among so many deserving entries and was also very proud of her OP Live Dallas team. “The AMA is such an esteemed organization, so receiving an award from them was truly an honor. The Trade Group and EGENCY were among six finalists in the event marketing category. Chavez believes a major differentiator was OP Live’s unique offering. As Chavez explains, “When our names were announced, the presenter acknowledged several reasons why our entry stood out. These included the fact that we successfully marketed to a hard-to-reach demographic as well as in the ‘new’ industry of esports. This combined with the amazing results we produced and how we included so many diverse groups —parents, students (of all ages), industry leaders and more—was why they chose OP Live.”
EGENCY held several pro, collegiate and amateur esports competitions, as well as a hackathon event for younger students, at OP Live. Through ‘Parent and Powered Talks,’ EGENCY offered both parents and students insight into the educational and career aspects of gaming.
EGENCY was also able to cultivate an impressive list of partners, sponsors and other collaborators for OP Live Dallas, which helped raise visibility for the event.
