The Trade Group Launches ‘Tricks of the Trade’ Podcast to Share Event Marketing Tips and Insights

The bi-weekly podcast is hosted by Stephanie Chavez, Director of Marketing for The Trade Group, et al. The podcasts feature interviews with members of The Trade Group’s staff, the company’s clients and other trade show and live event industry experts.

The Trade Group, an award winning, full-service, event marketing and creative design firm, is pleased to announce the recent launch of its new podcast, “Tricks of Trade.” The first episode aired June 26, 2019, and listeners can access past and upcoming - “Tricks of the Trade” podcasts on the OffBeat Business Media (OBBM) digital platform or the OBBM app, available on iTunes, Google Play, as well as on Roku and Amazon’s Fire TV. Live episodes air every other Thursday at 6 p.m. Central Time.

Stephanie Chavez, Director of Marketing at The Trade Group, came up with the idea to launch the podcast. “We’re always looking for new opportunities to share helpful information and educate people on how to have successful events. This was another great way to do that,” Chavez says.

Since the podcast launched in June, Chavez has tapped her colleagues at The Trade Group to share their vast expertise with listeners. Guests have included:

  • Sr. Sales Consultant Austin Montgomery on “How to Have an AWESOME Event Every Time”
  • Sr. Design Consultant Claire Phillips who shared her insights for “Rent or Buy? What’s Right for Your Trade Show Event”
  • Co-Owner and EVP of Sales Malcolm Gilvar on “Train Booth Reps, Maximize Sales”
  • Sr. Sales Consultant Robin Dean on “The Benefits of an Exhibit Management Program”

Next up, Chavez will interview Robert Lassiter, Traveling I&D Supervisor, who will share tips for a smooth install and dismantle on the show floor, and Costas Varkarotas, Creative Director, to share his wisdom on Experiential Design. Plans are also in the works to interview clients of The Trade Group, as well as other trade show, live event and esports industry experts and innovators.

When asked who could benefit from the podcast, Chavez said, “Event planners, trade show managers, marketing folks—basically anyone who works in the trade show, live events and brand activation fields. Our goal is to serve as industry advocates for the listener by disclosing inside information from concept and production to execution to post-event strategies. We’ll also share behind-the-scenes details that ensure profitable, productive events and trade shows.”
