The Trade Group's Robert Lassiter Earns I&D ACE Award from Exhibit City News
On February 24, 2019, Exhibit City News celebrated the nation's top installation and dismantle talent at an awards ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Trade Group's Robert Lassiter was one of four I&D professionals who were recognized in the Traveling Leads of the Year Ace Awards category.
CARROLLTON, Texas, March 19, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Trade Group is pleased to announce that one of its installation and dismantle veterans was recognized by Exhibit City News (ECN) at the first annual ECN I&D ACE Awards. Robert Lassiter, an I&D Supervisor, has worked for The Trade Group since 2002. He was nominated for the ACE award by his coworker Becca Dewosky.

Exhibit City News, a magazine that is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, launched the awards in 2019 to "honor the I&D contractors and laborers who make trade shows and events HAPPEN." The awards program pays tribute to individuals "who bring excellence to the show floors and exhibit houses. I&D ACES are to be recognized for their dedication to company, customer, facility, union and coworkers—for going above and beyond with their hard work, loyalty and dedication."
In order to be considered for nomination, award submissions needed to include a minimum of one testimonial from both a client and a coworker. Award criteria also required the submission of a story demonstrating how the nominee went "above and beyond" on the show floor or through charitable works for an industry association.
Dewosky submitted two client and two coworker testimonials on Robert's behalf. "There are two common themes that always come up when people share what they appreciate most about Robert. First, they all say they wish Robert could be the I&D Supervisor on ALL of their projects. Second, in the event that problems arise during an install, they know they can rely on Robert to go above and beyond to resolve things," Dewosky says.
For the ECN I&D ACE Awards, Lassiter was recognized as one of four Traveling Leads of the Year ACEs. Other ECN awards included Rookie of the Year ACE, Regional I&D ACE, Best City/Regional Manager of the Year ACE, Best "Firefighter" of the Year ACE and Seasoned Show Floor Veterans of the Year ACEs. The awards ceremony coincided with EXHIBITORLIVE week and took place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas.
