Fate revolves around Kassandra Patti’s young adult fiction book “The Chosen” (published by Trafford Publishing), which the author wrote in the spur of the moment. “I had an idea and it hit me and I just started to write.”
Described as a tale of fantasy, “The Chosen” follows two girls who do not know each other and come from two different time periods. The two girls have to deal with the same menacing force; they have to deal with the experiences they go through and they need to try to figure out why they are hearing and seeing things that are not present.
Patti tells that all characters in this story are important because they show how people in real life react to situations. “Florence kept things hidden from everyone, secretive. Acelia, was outspoken and told people what was happening. And Sabine (the unidentified girl) takes matters into her own hands.”
“The Chosen” switches from one time period to another and shows how the character is feeling and thinking at all times. It allows reads to enter a world that they might not want to enter, but will be intrigued enough to explore.
“I want readers to have had an escape into a world that is not perfect. Although some aspects of life can be controlled, not every choice comes with a controllable outcome and that not every path with come with options.”
