The Control Group to Teach Scrum Process Management Framework to Hoover High School Academy of Information Technology Students
San Diego, California (PRWEB) April 03, 2015 -- The event on Wednesday, April 8th at Hoover High, located at 4474 El Cajon Blvd. from 10 AM to 1:30 PM is designed for Hoover Academy of Information Technology’s (AOIT) 11th grade students. These students are currently taking high-level courses specifically designed for a future career in computer technology.
Students who attend Hoover High in City Heights have enjoyed the benefits of cutting edge educational reforms. Over the past decade, city leaders and educators have been working together to create solutions to the problems traditionally faced by low income areas such as City Heights.
Scrum is the premier Agile Project Management framework utilized in all forms of software and systems development and presents an alternative to more traditional process-driven project management methodologies by focusing on interactions over processes, working software over overcomplicated documentation, customer/team collaboration, and responding to change over established paradigms.
The Scrum presentation will be facilitated by Sean Shahrokhi, Director of Communications and PR for The Control Group and committed members of the Hoover AOIT Advisory Board. Shiem Edelbrock, CTO for The Control Group, will also address how Scrum has helped impact The Control Group’s culture as a whole.

This demonstration will provide these students a competitive advantage over other young professionals attempting to pursue technical careers who have not been exposed to this invaluable skill set.
