The Edgemont Boys: The Circus” is an engaging tale about true friendship and responsible leadership.

Author Doug Bryant was inspired by his granddaughter to create an interesting story about friends and their club. His second novel, “The Edgemont Boys: The Circus” (published by Xlibris), is a fascinating journey into the past.
Going to the carnival is the highlight of a young boys’ summer. Having all the money a young boy needs when the carnival comes to town can be challenging. Asking help from other people can cause trouble when one considers some old rules of the club and the members that live by them. How will they work together to get what they need?
An excerpt from the book:
“I have never seen best friends fight,” said Wimpy. “You guys need to make up and forget this ever happened. What were you thinking?
What started this anyway?”
“Bucky would not listen to me,” said Cookie.
Wimpy said, “Who made you boss?”
Written for boys ages 8 to 12, “The Edgemont Boys: The Circus” is an engaging tale about true friendship and responsible leadership. It is also a glimpse into the life and growing up years of the young people in the 1950s and 1960s.
