Set in a dystopian future in the eastern United States, the new cyberpunk novel, “The Metal Within: A Cyberpunk Novel” (published by Archway Publishing), by Len Gizinski, reveals the story of a band of strangers who must unite to overcome the threat to an entire city.

In this future world, a covert government organization trains six survivors of varied backgrounds to become their next new team to fight megacorporations that supplanted fragmented governments and left some places with no law at all. No one in the group is fully for the idea, and their leader is a jaded former agent. To overcome the menace, they must unite, putting aside their pasts as well as their personal fears, doubts and suspicions.

An excerpt from “The Metal Within”:
Queen Vixenn had heard of hot before, but this was insane! Chrome and Spider were taking hits as she jacked into the Matsua remote link connecting to its local server farm. Even this substation was guarded by more Matsua flex than some banks! She flicked the power switch on her Mitsushi 2049, and the lights from the World started to fade around her. The last thing she saw was Johnny turning the latest round of Matsua muscle into random chunks of lawn ornament, and Hardcore dropping off Lady Blackwolf as he spun to take on the approaching Matsua Tigerpaw.
