Dr. Rafael Ortiz was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He received his undergraduate degree and medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico. During medical school, he became interested in Oncology when he did some research on acute leukemia patterns. Dr. Ortiz is fellowship-trained in Hematology and Oncology from the University of Puerto Rico. Dr. Ortiz’s interests in the field include breast and hematologic malignancies.
During his free time, Dr. Ortiz is an avid of history and novels and a fervent baseball and soccer fan.
