New Orange Rhino Challenge® App Aims to Help Parents “Yell Less & Love More” In 2015
(PRWEB) January 20, 2015 -- Sheila McCraith, creator of The Orange Rhino Challenge®, author, parenting expert and international blogging sensation, announces the release of the Orange Rhino Challenge® app. This first-of-its-kind app is designed to give users instant mobile access to tools, tips, support, and inspiration to help quell the urge to yell, communicate more effectively, and encourage personal growth and self-improvement.
“Learning how to handle negative emotions without yelling is one of the most important life skills and one of the largest challenges cited among parents,” says McCraith. “People of all ages can learn how to effectively communicate without yelling, which has valuable benefits like positively influencing family life, personal and professional relationships, and one’s effectiveness as a parent, as well as increasing self-confidence and personal happiness.”
The Orange Rhino Challenge app features daily tips, inspirational quotes, and reminder alarms to yell less, along with places to journal, track triggers, and instantly contact a private support network. Users can receive daily tips and words of encouragement through push notifications; set reminder alarms with customized messages on how to manage that time of day; add up to five contacts for the personal support network; journal milestones and achievements; and visually track goals, triggers, and trends.
The app follows the highly successful 2014 release of McCraith’s first book, Yell Less, Love More: How the Orange Rhino Mom Stopped Yelling at Her Kids - And How You Can Too! McCraith has created this app as a complement to her book, which is a 30-day guide to yell less, complete with 100 alternatives to yelling, simple steps to follow, and honest stories to inspire parents on their own Orange Rhino Challenges. Since its October 2014 release, the book has garnered significant acclaim among the parenting world.
The Orange Rhino Challenge app for iPhones launched January 1, 2015, just in time to help parents with their New Year’s resolution to stop yelling. The app is free. An app for the Android platform is expected to follow.
