The Rainmaker Group, a leading provider of revenue management and leasing effectiveness software to the multifamily housing industry, is honored to be ranked for the seventh consecutive year on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest growing privately held companies in the U.S.
Adding to this honor, Rainmaker now is part of the 2 percent of companies that have received this distinction seven times.

The company’s continued success is due to its ability to deliver best-in-breed products that meet the ever-changing needs and exceed the performance expectations of its growing customer base. Since 2014, Rainmaker has grown by an impressive 67 percent, posting 2016 revenues of $46.8 million. In 2017 alone, Rainmaker has added more than 250,000 units to LRO, its revenue management platform and the customer base for Intelligent Lead Management has almost tripled.

“We are beyond excited to be listed on the Inc. 5000 list for the seventh consecutive year and to be a part of the esteemed group of companies that has received this recognition seven times,” said Bruce Barfield, CEO of Rainmaker. “This year has seen some major changes for our multifamily division but we have maintained our relentless drive to innovate and produce the best-in-breed solutions that will help our customers optimize their revenue. It is an honor to be ranked again, but it is more of an honor to continue to serve our multifamily customers and have their ongoing support.”

Founded in 1998 by Barfield, and Tammy Farley, president, Rainmaker has remained focused on delivering the highest revenue returns possible for its clients. For nearly 20 years, Rainmaker has successfully developed and expanded its proprietary suite of products and consulting services to better serve the multifamily industry.

In February, the company announced it signed an acquisition agreement with RealPage, Inc., a leading global provider of software and data analytics to the real estate industry. The acquisition of Rainmaker’s multifamily assets is expected to close in late fall, dependent on approval from the Department of Justice.

Rainmaker built its reputation as the industry’s leading revenue management provider with LRO – Lease Rent Options. Recognizing the need to further optimize the leasing process, Rainmaker built a performance platform of solutions that now includes LRO, ILM – Intelligent Lead Management and LRI – Lease Revenue Intelligence. This integrated platform enables apartment operators to streamline operations, enhance the revenue optimization processes, improve lead performance and drive leasing. The company introduced several enhancements to its solutions during 2017, including the new Pricing Call Dashboard, LRI Forecast and Renewal Manager.

Other highly notable companies on the Inc. 5000 list include: Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, Jamba Juice, Timberland, Clif Bar, Pandora, Patagonia and Oracle. Additionally, the class of 2017 includes such powerhouses as S'well, Halo Top Creamery, Bitly and Orangetheory Fitness.

"The Inc. 5000 is the most persuasive evidence I know that the American Dream is still alive,” said Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg. “The founders and CEOs of the Inc. 5000 tell us they think determination, risk taking and vision were the keys to their success, and I believe them.”

Inc. Magazine reports that, on average, companies that made the 2017 list have grown six-fold since 2013, an impressive feat during a time when the economy grew by only 6.7 percent. Additionally, aggregate revenue is calculated at $206 billion, and the companies listed for 2017 collectively generated 619,500 jobs throughout the last three years.
