Bloomsdale, MO (PRWEB) December 20, 2013
http://www.city-data.com/city/Bloomsdale-Missouri.html – In “The Sassafras Tree” (published by AuthorHouse), author Lynnette Randoll blends together her childhood memories of growing up on a farm with a special message about the beauty of nature in an engaging story for children as well as adults.
“The Sassafras Tree” is written from the perspective of a Sassafras Tree who watches silently as his little plot of land changes. The tree watches as a farmer plows his fields and his grandchildren play in the shade by the tree’s roots. As the seasons change, the tree’s plot of land goes through changes as well. The tree learns to accept these changes and make the best of them as it grows along with the people around it. Years later when men with machines threaten to cut down the Sassafras Tree, a long time friend returns to save the beloved tree.
Through her book, Randoll hopes to communicate to children how important it is to respect nature. “‘The Sassafras Tree’ tells a story of how a small part of someone’s surroundings can give him or her a sense of stability,” Randoll shares. “The book relates how it is important to be aware of nature and how it affects us and we affect it, no matter how small it may seem to others.”
