The Webster Group to Produce the 25th Anniversary of President George H.W. Bush’s Inauguration
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) December 20, 2013 -- The Webster Group (“TWG”), which delivers event design, planning and production, public relations, graphic arts and fundraising services for their clients, announced today the award of a contract with the President George H.W. Bush Presidential Library Foundation in support of an event commemorating the 25th anniversary of his inauguration.
The George H.W. Bush Presidential Library Foundation will invite dedicated family, friends, senior staff, cabinet members and other key supporters to join in celebration of President and Barbara Bush and their service to the country. Approximately 500-1,000 guests will gather at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. on January 23, 2014 to commemorate the inaugural day, January 20, 1989, that marked the beginning of the Bush legacy. President Bush served in office until January 20, 1993.
“My husband proudly served as CIA Director for President George H. W. Bush, and it is therefore a great honor for my colleagues and me to play a role in this important Bush reunion event,” said Lynda Webster, Chairman of The Webster Group.
Established in 1991 to design, build and support the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum and The George Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library Foundation sponsors exhibits, lectures, conferences and special events in order to bring public attention to prominent scholars, practitioners and artists in a format that invites public participation and exposure to leading cultural, scholarly and policy programs while preserving the historical legacy of George Bush, 41st President of the United States.
The Webster Group will conduct all aspects of event production and logistics for this event to include vendor management (A/V, décor, catering, valet, security, and photography), and registration; TWG will also handle stage management during the program and coordinate visual and tech “cues” for all participants.
Past TWG events honoring U.S. presidents have included a multi-day Centennial Celebration honoring the life of President Lyndon Baines Johnson, sponsored by the LBJ Library; also, three events in support of a Points of Light initiative: a pre- Kennedy Center gala VIP dinner at the new U.S. Institute of Peace Building with President and Mrs. George H.W. Bush, and two VIP Kennedy Center events surrounding the Points of Light Kennedy Center Gala at which presidents George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, Clinton and Carter were in attendance.
