The Webster Group (“TWG”), which delivers event design, planning and production, public relations, graphic arts and fundraising services for their clients, announced today the appointment of Wendy Drake as TWG’s president and CEO. Ms. Drake brings more than 17 years of relevant experience to the role, which includes fundraising, event management, strategic planning, marketing, production and foundation management, and has served as the company’s president for three years. She replaces Lynda Webster who has served as CEO since she founded the company in 1995. Ms. Webster will remain with the company as Chairman.

Ms. Drake's credentials include a long and successful association with TWG, starting with the firm in 2001. Since then, she has been an integral reason for the firm's extraordinary successes, working in various capacities including Marketing Director, Event Director, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Throughout her career, she has helped nonprofits think strategically and work smarter. With experience in all facets of nonprofit management, resource development and event management, Ms. Drake has worked with organizations to build more effective leadership and fundraising campaigns and to enhance efforts to raise major and planned gifts, as well as secure significant corporate and foundation support.

She is a member of ISES DC, Capital Speakers, Society of Government Meeting Professionals, and the National Contract Management Association (NCMA). Ms. Drake received a Master’s of Business Administration from the George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science from Drury University.

As President and CEO of The Webster Group, Ms. Drake holds management responsibilities for the company's overall performance. In addition to her duties as President and CEO, Ms. Drake leads the government contracts division of TWG. She works with TWG's talented teams to create, implement and sustain strategies that produce greater ROI with measurable results for their clients.
