Fewer than ten percent of 5,200 entries at the 17th Annual Independent Publisher Book Awards on May 29, 2013 took home IPPY awards this year. Tools for Thoughtful Assessment was among the celebrated winners, garnering Bronze in the Education I category.

Co-authored by renowned educators and researchers Abigail L. Boutz, PhD, Harvey F. Silver, EdD, Joyce W. Jackson, and Matthew J. About the Authors:

Ablgail L. Boutz, PhD, has been an educator of elementary school through college students, and is a lecturer for UCLA's Life Sciences Department and Field Supervisor for its Teacher Education Program. With Silver Strong & Associates, she has developed numerous training modules and workshops on effective teaching.

Harvey F.
