HILLSBORO BEACH, Fla., Dec. 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Trapped in a Washington, D.C., pub, a beautiful liberal and handsome conservative tackle pressing issues with the help of their brilliant bartender in Wayne Lobdell's new political fiction "Rachel versus Sean with Jackson in the Middle" (published by Archway Publishing).
The book brings together Jackson, a brilliant African American bartender, with a vast knowledge of political events, facts and opinions, trapped with an intellectual liberal named Rachel and Sean, an articulate and successful business conservative. In the course of two long contentious, and sometimes humorous debates that involve spousal relationships, they delve into many conservative and liberal differences. Within the discussion they seek some innovative ideas and compromises on the key issues. Jackson keeps it light with with some presidential trivia and humorous stories along the way.
As an avid follower of the political scene, Lobdell focuses on themes of being logical, disagreeing without anger and showing empathy. He hopes that the novel motivates readers "to listen to opposing views and generate some rationale understanding of the need to evaluate the issues in depth from multiple angles."
