Sea-Dar Construction Hires Tim Hanes To Manage New York Operation
New York City, New York (PRWEB) May 20, 2016 -- Sea-Dar Construction is pleased to announce its recent hire of Tim Hanes, who has joined Sea-Dar Construction’s New York office as a Vice President. In this role, Hanes will oversee all Sea-Dar’s New York construction operations.
“I was attracted by the company's notable diversified growth over the last decade and their growing list of award-winning architects and designers with whom Sea-Dar works,” Hanes said.
Hanes comes to Sea-Dar with over 30 years of construction experience in luxury residential, light commercial, and corporate work. Most recently, Hanes worked as Managing Director for The I. Grace Company, a full service high-end residential construction company. There, he led Commissioned Private Residences & Service and Maintenance divisions for the firm’s New York City, Greenwich/Stamford, Connecticut, and Hamptons offices in Long Island. In Manhattan, Hanes managed the planning and construction of major apartment and townhouse projects. In Greenwich, Westchester and Long Island, Hanes managed the planning and construction of complex estate and coastal projects, major renovations, alterations, expansions and new construction.
Sea-Dar’s Founder and President, Jean Abouhamad, P.E. is pleased with the new addition. He notes, “Tim’s experience will be of great value to us as we continue to entrench ourselves and grow in New York. His knowledge of the region and his solid professional relationships will support our ability to cultivate business in this great market.”
Before his employment with The I. Grace Company, Hanes worked for Metrohouse Builders & Developers, and Schumacher & Forelle, Inc. He then founded Hanes Associates, Inc. in 1986, a firm that provided consulting and construction services on residential and light commercial projects for high net worth individuals, REITs and financial institutions across the country.
Hanes combines his career experience in construction management with past experience as an appointed arbitrator for the National Panel of Construction Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from New York Institute of Technology and completed the Executive Program curriculum at Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.
Tim Hanes and his wife, Ellen, live in Locust Valley, Long Island. They have three children.
