ShortStack Announces Tool to Import likes and comments from Facebook Page Timeline Promotions

Do-it-yourself app creation platform, ShortStack, has released a new tool that allows businesses on Facebook to collect and import the likes and comments from a Page’s status update into a database. This feature comes after Facebook’s most recent announcement that businesses no longer need to use a third-party publishing platform to run promotions.

ShortStack’s comment/like importer allows businesses to collect and import the likes and comments they receive on their status updates when they run promotions on the Facebook timeline. From there, the information goes into a database where users can pick a random winner, and then organize the data to use for future marketing efforts.

Using the comment/like importer, page administrators can also ask entrants to give additional contact or demographic information by way of a custom app. ShortStack’s tool then combines the entries from the timeline and the app, and businesses can easily access all entries.

Businesses can use the comment/like importer any time after posting a status update, so comments and likes from a previous post can be accessed after a status update has been made. The tool also gathers the photo comments from updates.
