Over $7.6 million in rental offers were generated for our advertisers in 2014, which was a 23 percent increase over the previous year.

The Memorial Day weekend is the traditional start to the summer holiday season, so with summer vacation on the minds of millions of Americans, timeshare resale and rental advertiser BuyaTimeshare.com has announced its Top 10 most requested resorts based on actual consumer demand.

The list is assembled from the number of rental offers placed by consumers looking to rent timeshare since January 1 through the company’s interactive online marketplace. While the list shows the popularity of U.S.-based branded timeshare resorts, this year’s list also features several Caribbean and Mexico vacation ownership locations.

The Top 10 List includes:

1.    Westgate Lakes Resort and Spa (Orlando, FL)
2.    Wyndham Bonnet Creek (Orlando, FL)
3.    Marriott's Maui Ocean Club (Lahaina, Hawaii)
4.    Marriott's Aruba Surf Club (Aruba)
5.    Harborside Resort at Atlantis II (Nassau, Bahamas)
6.    Marriott's Aruba Ocean Club (Aruba)
7.    Villa del Palmar Cabo San Lucas Beach Resort & Spa (Cabo San Lucas, Mexico)
8.    Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa (Orlando, FL)
9.    Grand Solmar Lands End Resort and Spa (Cabo San Lucas, Mexico)
10.    Polo Towers Suites (Las Vegas, NV)

“Many of the names on this list are traditionally some of the most popular timeshare and vacation ownership resorts in the world,” said Wesley Kogelman, president and CEO, BuyaTimeshare.com. “Places like Aruba and Orlando always score high, as does Maui and Las Vegas. However, in light of last year’s impact on Cabo San Lucas from Hurricane Odile, I’m very pleased to see two Cabo resorts make the list and reflect the resiliency of the region.”

Timeshare rentals provide some of the best value for money in the vacation business, with multi-bedroom units at world-class resorts often available for less money than a standard hotel room. Renters have discovered this through placing offers on advertisements found on the BuyaTimeshare.com website, interacting directly with existing owners who can accept, decline or counter those offers until the parties arrive at an agreed rental price.

“Over $7.6 million in rental offers were generated for our advertisers in 2014, which was a 23 percent increase over the previous year. With the success of our platform for renters as well as sellers, we are confident that our marketing strategies continue to promote the timeshare product to a new generation of vacation consumers,” added Kogelman.
