Cancer touches us all at some point, whether it is through someone we know, a family member or ourselves, so we are honored to provide promotional support to SMOV and assist in generating vacations for their recipients
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) July 08, 2013
Timeshare advertising company BuyaTimeshare.com announces its support of vacation donation charity Send Me On Vacation (SMOV) as the group launches its new Vacation Donation Program. The 501 (c)(3) charity will include BuyaTimeshare.com in its highest level of sponsorship, the Philanthropist level, as the group expands its efforts to provide much-needed vacations for women fighting breast cancer.
SMOV uses vacations as a way for breast cancer survivors to transform from physical healing to emotional healing. By giving them an all-expense paid vacation, SMOV provides a way for rejuvenation, renewal and reconnection with loved ones through the benefits that vacations bring to those who need it most.
“This is such an important way that we can give back to people who really need it, by providing assistance to such a worthwhile organization and helping to relieve some of the anguish that these cancer survivors go through during their battle,” said Wesley Kogelman, president, BuyaTimeshare.com. “Cancer touches us all at some point, whether it is through someone we know, a family member or ourselves, so we are honored to provide promotional support to SMOV and assist in generating vacations for their recipients.”
“We have been overwhelmed with the help we’ve received from the industry and we’d like to thank BuyaTimeshare.com for their support of our new program,” added Cathy Backus, Chairman, Send Me On Vacation. “Not only will we be able to provide more vacations to our survivors but we’ll be able to implement fundraising programs which will help us meet the travel costs associated with the trips.”
SMOV will officially launch the Vacation Donation Program in the August 2013 issue of Resort Trades magazine, an industry trade publication which has reported on issues and trends affecting the timeshare and vacation ownership industry since 1987.
Timeshare owners looking to help SMOV with a timeshare week to donate can participate in the program and donate their week in exchange for a charitable tax credit. About Send Me On Vacation
Send Me On Vacation (SMOV) provides a much needed vacation to women with cancer who have undergone treatment and need a place to rejuvenate and heal their body, mind and spirit. Many women who have experienced treatment for cancer will tell you that when the physical aspects of the battle end, the emotional struggles begin. The adverse effects of the treatment can leave women, and their families and friends in shambles. We believe that an essential step in surviving this experience is to provide survivors with a well-deserved vacation to CELEBRATE LIFE!
SMOV created a platform for cancer survivors where those in need (devastated by the costs of treatment) receive the opportunity to integrate the process of emotional healing into their ‘Whole-listic’ recovery plan to optimum health. We believe that a vacation is the catalyst to restoring, renewing and rejuvenating the body, mind and spirit.
