I hope [the blog] will be an inspirational resource for other makeup artists within the industry.

Tina Prajapat, a London-based professional hair and makeup artist, has launched a new blog based on her experience as a leading makeup artist. Named “Musings of a Makeup Artist”, the blog shares tips and advice, recipes for beauty products, and makeup techniques for both everyday wear and for special occasions using step by step tutorials. Tina’s blog can be read at http://www.hairmakeup.co.uk/blog/.
As a graduate of The London School of Fashion and with 17 years experience in the industry, Tina has a wealth of expertise to share with her readers. She has provided creative makeup at the Brit Awards, styled hair and makeup for several music videos and has regular work published in beauty magazines such as The Bite and the Bridal magazine Asiana. In addition, Tina is a City and Guild qualified teacher of hair and makeup and offers professional hair and makeup courses accredited by the Guild of Beauty Therapists.
Since its launch on 20th January, “Musings of a Makeup Artist” has received over 1000 views and is proving popular with site visitors. Tina updates the blog regularly, and posts are shared on Facebook and Tina’s Instagram page. In the near future, Tina also hopes to share her style tips on Youtube through video demonstrations. Tina said: “I plan to use the blog as a creative outlet for my hair and makeup ideas which I hope will be an inspirational resource for other makeup artists within the industry. I will also cover all the basic things that my clients ask my advice for on a regular basis such as how to use concealer, apply eyeliner and backcomb their hair.”
Whilst the blog is designed for anyone with an interest in the hair and makeup industry, many of the blog articles also appeal to the general public: Tina’s recipe for homemade skin serum has proved particularly popular. Blog posts also reflect Tina’s specialism in Asian Bridal hair and makeup, with inspiration on bridal beauty and a mehndi section for both Asian brides and students who want to learn more about working with henna.
