Tools4ever introduces E-SSOM One Touch Access
Lynbrook, NY (PRWEB) August 20, 2013 -- Tools4ever, the market leader in Identity & Access Management (IdM/IAM) solutions, has introduced a new feature in its Single Sign-on solution E-SSOM. One Touch Access allows end users to log in easily and quickly, simply by holding an access badge near the card reader. They will then gain access to all the applications for which they are authorized within 8 seconds. Changing workstations is also simple, as their session is automatically locked allowing all the opened applications to follow them to another workstation. This means end users no longer have to enter and remember passwords.
One Touch Access is particularly suited to organizations where end users work on different PCs and are under major time pressure, such as hospitals or other healthcare organizations. Doctors who have to visit patients in various hospital locations require quick and easy access to medical patient records wherever they go. They can now authenticate themselves simply by holding their badge near a card reader. During their rounds they can log in and out on every workstation and access their virtual desktop to resume their work in the applications they were using.
E-SSOM One Touch Access can also be used in networks that use desktop virtualization. The use of virtualized desktops (Microsoft RDS, VMware View and Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop) allows end users to easily change workstation. Any type of smart card can be used for One Touch Access, including access badges that are already in use at the organization.
