“The Evolution of an Entrepreneur,” by business author and international entrepreneur Jack Nadel, was awarded on Monday with five Global Ebook Awards, including three Gold Awards for Best in Business, Leadership and Careers/Employment in their respective non-fiction categories. Two Silver Awards were also awarded to Nadel for Advertising/Marketing/Sales non-fiction and Best eBook Trailer categories.
The award-winning book, Nadel’s seventh in his career, contains insights from nearly 70 years as an entrepreneur and offers what he calls a, “crash course for entrepreneurship.” Distilled from thousands of business transactions with a consistent track record of profitability without a losing year, the book was written to aid entrepreneurs and features 50 of his “best tips for surviving and thriving in business.”
“It's very gratifying to be acknowledged for my book, ‘The Evolution of an Entrepreneur,’” said Nadel, a decorated WWII veteran. “Receiving five awards has reinforced my conviction that this was a story with advice needing to be told. I had two purposes in writing this book. The first was to share the entrepreneurial insights I've gained with younger entrepreneurs and veterans to help them get off to a good start, and the second was to help boost our economy, which desperately needs their involvement.”
The 2013 awards were judged this year by 205 independent judges and were hosted through Dan Poynter’s annual Global Ebook Awards. According to their website, the Global Ebook Awards, “are given to the best of the best.” Judges for the awards are industry professionals with experience in ebooks and in the categories they evaluate. Poynter, industry expert and founder of the award program, has been a publisher since 1969 and has written more than 130 books.
Most notable for having been the founder of Jack Nadel International, now chairman emeritus, Jack Nadel led JNI to become one of the world's largest sales promotional companies. During his career Nadel has successfully launched over a dozen businesses producing hundreds of new products, thousands of jobs and millions of dollars in profits.
“I'm passionate about fostering entrepreneurship and inspiring people to develop businesses around their strengths and passions through the framework, stories and guidance provided in my book,” said Nadel. “I'm eager at age 89 to share my wisdom with those who are motivated to succeed.”
“You’ll never meet a more likeable entrepreneur,” stated Henry Dubroff, founder and editor of the Pacific Coast Business Times in a recent book review article. “Next to the stories, which are entertaining and educational, the best thing about this book is the Nadel spirit. This is a guy who looks for ways to create lasting relationships, not transactional events.”
“The Evolution of an Entrepreneur” is available as both an e-book and in paperback on all major book retail sites, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble and iBooks.
In the words of Clinton Day, Entrepreneurship Adjunct Professor at the State College of Florida, “I am convinced it is the most practical advice for an aspiring entrepreneur that I've come across.”
