NVIDIA® Tegra™ Modules (Apalis T30, Colibri T30, Colibri T20) Linux Release:

This release of Linux BSPs for Toradex NVIDIA Tegra modules (Apalis T30, Colibri T30, and Colibri T20) contain:

-U-Boot 2011.06 boot loader
-Linux 3.1.10 kernel, based on NVIDIA's Linux for Tegra (L4T) release R16.4
-Open Embedded oe-core 2013.06 based root file system, using LXDE desktop environment

The release also adds missing features and bug fixes, notably:

U-Boot:

Updates to the U-Boot in this release include:

-Enabling hardware boot partition support (via 'mmc dev [dev] [part]' command)
-Getting rid of the spurious 'video=tegrafb' kernel boot argument and add 'noatime' to the usbargs (Apalis T30, Colibri T30)
-Getting rid of the spurious 'video=tegrafb' kernel boot argument, adjust the optional ubiargs and add 'noatime' to the usbargs (Colibri T20)
-Enabling CONFIG_INITRD_TAG which allows passing initrd ATAGs to the Linux kernel required for initial RAM disk support (Colibri T20)
-Disabling PMIC sleep mode on low supply voltage (Colibri T20)

Linux Kernel

Updates to the Linux kernel in this release include:

-Merging with NVIDIA's latest L4T R16.4 kernel
-Initializing high speed UART with lower default baud rate to avoid issues
-Fixing the disabling of PCIe GEN2 capabilities (Apalis T30)
-Addition of OmniVision OV7670 and Texas Instruments TVP5150 V4L2 drivers
-Addition of initial Aptina AS0260 V4L2 driver
-Solving low frame rate issue with analogue cameras
-Hack to avoid 24 Hz mode in X resulting in no display at all (Colibri T20)

rootfs / oe-core

Updates to rootfs / oe-core in this release include:

-nv-binaries: update to L4T R16.4
-Addition of gst-plugins-good-jpeg (Apalis T30, Colibri T30)

Freescale® Vybrid™ Modules (Colibri VF61, Colibri VF50) Linux Release:

This release of Linux BSPs for Toradex Freescale Vybrid Colibri VF61, and Colibri VF50 modules contain:

U-Boot 2011.12 boot loader

-Linux 3.0.15 kernel, based on Freescale TWR-VF65GS10 Timesys LinuxLink 2014-01-27
-OpenEmbedded oe-core 2013.06 based root file system, using LXDE desktop environment

The release also adds missing features and bug fixes, notably:

U-Boot

Updates to the U-Boot in this release include adding default VESA VGA vidargs for our now modedb enabled kernel. This allows easy specifying of an alternate parallel RGB resolution.

Linux Kernel

Updates to the Linux kernel in this release include:

-Ability to configure video resolution through modedb (video=dcufb:..)
-Addition of kernel parameters to change RGB clock polarity
-Reworked Fusion multi-touch touchscreen driver
-Merging of Timesys tag 3.0-vybrid-ts2.13
-Support suspend/resume for Micrel PHY
-Enabling FIFO for UART even when serial console is enabled
-Enabling wake-up pins SODIMM 43/45
-Fixing and enabling SPI support (DSPI1)
-Platform data for CAN transceiver MCP251x on Evaluation Board
-Build AC97 driver as module (supports resistive touch only for now)
-Addition of PWM platform data, export PWM channels as PWM LEDs

Linux User-Space

Updates to the Linux User-Space in this release include:

-GPIO config tool
-Addition of Cortex M4 utility mqxboot and communication library libmcc
